Obituary of Christine Meier

Christine M. Meier was born March 23, 1926 in Lodi to Abe and Bertha Reuscher. She entered into rest February 6, 2004 at the age of 77. She attended local school and graduated from Lodi High School in 1944. She attended and graduated from Humphries Business College in Stockton. She was a past Vice-President and member of the Board of Directors of the College. After college, she began Employment as a secretary at the San Joaquin Farm Bureau, retiring after 44 years. Christine was a very active life member in the Alpha Iota Sorority Stockton Chapter. She was a past president and advisor to the Stockton Alumni Chapter. She married Allen W. Meier on November 1, 1952. Their married life was spent on their ranch in Lockeford. Allen preceded her in death on July 23, 1997. Christine is survived by her sister, Velma Peterson of Acampo, sisters-in-law Roasalind Lind of Carmichael and Lorene Soderstrom of Carmichael and brother-in-law George Meier of Galt; nephews Chris Peterson of Acampo, Doug and Jeff Soderstrom of Sacramento, Mike and Patrick Meier of Washington and nieces Cindy Meier and Tracy Wesselman of Washington and a host of family and friends. She was also preceded in death by her mother, Bertha Reuscher and father, Abe Reuscher. A Chapel Service will be held Wednesday at Lodi Funeral Home at 2:00PM. Committal will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Monday from 6:00PM until 8:00 PM and Tuesday from 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM at Lodi Funeral Home.
