Rene Maxine Wilson of Acampo passed away on December 29, 2003 in Lodi at the age of 94. She was born in Jefferson County, PA on August 14, 1909. Mrs. Wilson came to California from PA in the early 40?s settling in the Long Beach Area. In the 60?s she lived in Japan and came back to the Long Beach area after 6 years in Japan. She moved to Lemon Cove where she was a partner in a KOA Camp Ground. She moved to Acampo in 1995. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, painting, sewing, crafts and participating in women?s clubs. She was a homemaker most of her life. She belonged to St. Joachim Catholic Church in Lockeford. She is survived by three grandchildren: Terri Reese of Acampo, Chris Schilling of Boulder Creek and Kevin Rutherford of Atlanta, GA; 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Patricia Schilling and LaRue Suais, Husband, Arthur Barrett and Husband, Lyle Wilson and sister, LaRue Miller. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, January 2 at 10:00 AM at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Lockeford. There is no visitation. Committal will take place at All Souls Cemetery and Mausoleum 4400 Cherry Avenue, Long Beach on Wednesday Jan. 7th at 11:00 AM. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Joachim Catholic Church, 13392 Lockeford Ranch Drive, Lockeford, CA 95237.
