Obituary of Thomas Gerald Cataldo

Thomas Gerald Cataldo, 62, of Acampo, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2003. He was born on June 29, 1941 in Stockton, CA. He was the son of Dominic and Anne Cataldo. He was raised with four siblings. Tom married Lorraine Rueda on January 9, 1965. They moved to Acampo in 1972, where he lived with his family for the last 31 years. Mr. Cataldo was a grape and cherry grower for over four decades. He was a member of St. Gertrude's Catholic Church in Stockton, The Italian Gun & Bocci Club and The Central Valley Men's Club. He enjoyed gardening , but most importantly, he was a devoted husband and father of four. He touched the hearts of many and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Lorraine Cataldo of Acampo; daughters, Nicole Cataldo, JoAnna Cataldo and Laura Cataldo of Los Angeles; son, Joe Cataldo of Acampo; sisters, Anne LaValley and Yvonne Steiger of Stockton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dominic Cataldo in November of 1974 and Anne Cataldo in November of 1982; brother, Julius Cataldo in 2003 and sister, Janice Caprini. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Gertrude's Catholic Church in Stockton at 10:30 AM on Friday, Dec. 19th. Committal will follow immediately at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 8:00 until 7:00 PM at which time there will be a Recitation of the Rosary at Lodi Funeral Home Chapel. Father Alvaro Araque will officiate at the Rosary as well as the Mass.
