Obituary of Martha Schmidt

Martha Schmidt, 97, of Lodi, died November 25, 2003 in Lodi. She was born Martha Neuharth on February 1, 1906, in Menno, S.D., where she was educated. Mrs. Schmidt married Edmund Schmidt on July 6, 1925. After living in Oregon, the couple settled in Lodi in 1935. The owned and managed mobile home parks from 1959-1970. The also owned and managed dairies in the Lodi area. She was a member of the Zion Reformed Church in Lodi. She enjoyed sewing and making lap robes. She is survived by her daughter, Bernice Anderson and her husband, Elmer; granddaughter, Shirley Grenig of Modesto and three great- grandchildren; Zachery, Alecia and Melissa Grenig. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edmund Schmidt, on June 5, 1988 and brothers, Herbert and Edwin Neuharth. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 2nd at 11:00 am at Lodi Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Herbert Schaal officiating. Committal will follow.
