Obituary of Sergio Rabanal, Sr

Sergio (Sam) Rafanan Rabanal, Sr. died Monday, November 17, 2003 of natural causes in his home in Lodi surrounded by his family. He was born August 10, 1906 in the Philipine Islands. He came to the United States in 1925 and began working as a Farm Laborer, he followed the crops all across the nation, working three months every summer in Alaska. He became a U.S. citizen in the early 1960's and worked for ten years at the General Vallejo Home in Sonoma, California. His work there as a professional Gardener is much admired, even today. He is survived by his wife; Jane and eight children, Filifa Radliff, Ben Alarca, Sandy Ali, Kelly Gill, Debbie Rabanal, Jeffrey Rabanal, Sergio Rabanal, Jr., and Melenie Rodriguez, 21 grandchildren, and 5 Great-grandchildren. A private service was held Tuesday November 18th. He will be sadly missed by all who loved him. Rest in peace our beloved father.
