PEDRO PIGAO PAISTE, 84, of Lodi, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2003 at a Lodi Hospital following a long illness. He was born on April 14, 1919 in Bantay, Ilocos Sur in the Philippine Islands, the son of Antonio Paiste and Basalisa Pigao. Mr. Paiste worked as a farm laborer for most of his adult life. In June of 1946, he married Francisca Rabara in the Philippines, where they lived and raised their family. In 1973, he immigrated into the United States and settled in Lodi. He continued working as a farm laborer until his retirement in 1995. He was a devoted husband and father who cherished spending time with family and friends. Mr. Paiste was the loving husband of Francisca Paiste. He was the devoted father of Ermelindo Sr. and wife Charito Paiste, Cecilia and husband Pedro Tacas, Romeo and wife Susie Paiste, Pedro Jr. and wife Norma Paiste, Zenaida and husband Sonny Herrera, Sr., Manuel Sr. and wife Rhia Paiste, Imelda and husband Genaro Sipin, Jr., Rhandy and wife Geraldine Paiste, Melita and husband Randy Clark, and Benjamin Sr. and wife Ruby Paiste. Mr. Paiste was the loving grandfather of Eric Paiste and Lorna Hernandez, Ermelindo Paiste, Jr., Catherine Paiste, Maricel and Loreto Juan, Roger and Catleya Tacas, Neolanda and Darin Morfield, Mario and Mizty Tacas, Haidee and Adrian Johnson, Sally Tacas, May Tacas, Leilani Paiste, Jane Paiste, Jamie Ryan Paiste, Rodney Paiste, Richard Paiste, Sonny Boy Herrera, Jr. and Odessa Concha, Bobby and Athena Herrera, Maricris Paiste, Manuel Paiste, Jr., Rhonda Paiste, Jeffrey Sipin, Gemel Sipin, Ronald Paiste, Brian Paiste, Jason Robert Clark, Stephanie Elizabeth Clark, Benjamin Paiste, Jr., Brent James Paiste, and Kristine Anne Paiste. He was also the dearest great-grandfather of Lauren Michele Paiste, Patrick Juan, Lawrence Juan, Loricelle Juan, Zephanie Tacas, Zoriel Tacas, Anne Marie Morfield, Maezelle Tacas, Celyne Johnson, Angelica Johnson, and Athelia Janae Herrera. Mr. Paiste is also survived by his niece Elena Gabriel and sisters-in-law Crisanta Paz and Maria Rabara Ancheta. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, November 7, 2003 St. Anne's Catholic Church, 215 W. Walnut Avenue, Lodi, CA. An Evening Vigil and Rosary will be held at Lodi Funeral at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 6, 2003. Visitations will be on Wednesday, from 1:00 P.m. to 8:00 P.M. and on Thursday, from 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Lodi Funeral Home. Interment will be at Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi. A virtual register book can be signed at www.lodifuneralhome.com. To honor his memory, memorial contributions may be sent to a charity of the donor's choice. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Lodi Funeral Home.
