Marcia C. Fervia, 82, of Lodi, died October 20th due to a sudden illness. She was born March 21, 1921 in Detroit, Michigan, where she attended school. She was a local resident for the last 47 years. She married John Fervia on June 27, 1942. She considered herself a "war bride," and became a "Rosie the Riviter" to help the war effort. She was a longtime employee of Diamond Walnut in Stockton. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John Fervia, Jr., and Lorraine of Tualatin, Oregon and daughter, Blanche Brouillard of Lodi; two granddaughters, Margot Fervia-Neamtzu of Sherwood, Oregon and Monica Fervia-Ferguson of San Francisco; brother Dominic DiFranco of Lodi; sister Jenny Burket of San Francisco. She was preceded in death by her husband John Fervia, Sr. in 1992 and her grandson Dustin Brouillard in 1997. A chapel service will be held 1:00 pm Friday at Lodi Funeral Home Chapel with Father Alfred Alexander from St. Anne's Catholic Church officiating. A committal will be held at Cherokee Memorial Park immediately following the service.
