Gladys Freshour, 89, of Lodi, passed away on October 7th in Lodi. She was born Gladys Blighton on October 13, 1913, in Emmittsburg, Iowa. Mrs. Freshour moved to Lodi in 1945 and married Eddie Freshour in 1949. She was a resident of Lodi for 60 years. She enjoyed being with her family, gardening, fishing and traveling. She is survived by her children, James Freshour and wife, Kathi, of Lodi, and Delores Freshour of Port Orford, Oregon. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Brenda Brooks, Steven Freshour and Kellie Freshour and one great- grandson, Norman Clark. She is survived by two sisters, Florence Lewis of Galt and Mary Anderson of Port Orford, Oregon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Freshour, in 1991; granddaughter, Linda Freshour in 1966; three brothers, Gene Blighton, Richard Blighton, Francis Blighton and two sisters, Millie Olds and Lucille Wooten. A graveside service will be held Friday, October 10th at 10 a.m. at Cherokee Memorial Park with the Rev. Sammie Walls of Woodbridge Community Church officiating. Committal will follow. Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lodi Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice of San Joaquin, 2609 E. Hammer Lane, Stockton, CA 95210.
