Obituary of Janice Reinstein

Janice D. Reinstein, 62, of Lockeford, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2003, in a local hospital. She was born on March 11, 1941 in San Jose, CA. She married F. Peter Reinstein on November 13, 1960, in Walnut Creek, CA. Her maiden name was McClure. She was a resident of Lockeford for the past 28 years. Mrs. Reinstein recently retired as a College, Scholarship and Career Advisor for Lodi High School where she worked for over 20 years. She was selfless in her determination to encourage students to attend college and help them locate scholarship funding. She placed a high value on education. One of her greatest rewards were visits from former students who returned to share their college experiences. She was a member of the Lodi Rose Society and recently won an award for her roses. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was an avid gardener and cook. She enjoyed snow skiing, hiking, horseback riding, and she was a very accomplished bargain shopper. She is survived by her husband, F. Peter Reinstein of Lockeford; two daughters and their husbands, Deanne and Mark Repetto of Placerville and Jenell and Larry Burk of Salinas; grandchildren, P.J. and Anna Marie Repetto; Samantha, Cole, and Justin Burk; and her brother, Hal McClure of Lockeford. She was preceded in death by her brother, Roland McClure. A Memorial Service will be held at Harmony Wynelands, 9291 Harney Lane, Lodi, on October 8th at 2pm. There will be no visitation.
