Frank Perry, 81, of Lodi, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2003 at a Lodi hospital. A native of Laton, California, he was born on August 13, 1921. He was a resident of San Joaquin County for 57 years. Mr. Perry worked as a dairyman for most of his life, and later worked in the construction business for about 10 years. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and taking care of his farm animals. He was a member of St. Joachim's Catholic Church in Lockeford and was President of the CPSC (Club Portuguese of Stockton, California) in 1958. Mr. Perry is survived by his wife, Emily Perry of Lodi; two sons, Frank J. Perry of Farmington and Stanley A. Perry of Valley Springs; one daughter, Shirley Ann Rego of Lodi; two step grandsons, Greg A. Kirk of Valley Springs and Scott A. Kirk of Stockton; five grandchildren, Renee A. Zahorowski of Lodi, Michelle Goff of Lodi, Stephanie D. Perry of Peters, Brian Rego of Lodi, and Frank M. Perry of Stockton, ; one brother, Tony Perry of Los Banos; and a stepbrother, Joe Azevedo of Galt. He was preceded in death by his sister, Hilda Schroeder, and two stepbrothers, John and Frank Azevedo. Friends are invited to call for visitation from 1:00 P.m. to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 5 and 6, 2003 at Lodi Funeral Home. The recitation of the Rosary will be at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, August 6th, 2003 at Lodi Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 7, 2003 at St. Joachim's Catholic Church, 13392 Lockeford Ranch Road, in Lockeford. Rev. Father Enda McGuire, officiating. Graveside Committal Service and interment will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park. A virtual register book can be signed at www.lodifuneralhome.com. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Lodi Funeral Home entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
