Obituary of Shirley May Crebbin

Shirley May Crebbin, 68, of Galt, passed away peacefully at her Galt residence, on Friday, July 25, 2003, after a long illness. A native of Oakland, California, she was born on June 29, 1935, the only child of Harry Darrell Chapin and Eleanor Runo Chapin. Shirley grew up in Oakland, where she attended local schools. She worked as a receptionist for various companies, including Farmer Credit Bank in Sacramento for several years. On June 19, 1954, Shirley married Paul Evelyn Crebbin in Oakland, California. That year the couple moved to Sacramento, where they resided until February 2003, when they moved to Galt. Shirley was a talented piano player, and enjoyed traveling, gardening, jigsaw puzzles, reading mysteries and fiction, and playing computer games. Shirley is survived by her husband of 49 years, Paul E. Crebbin of Galt; 2 daughters, Laura Jean Bohlender of Galt and Julie Lynn Baltierra of Sacramento; one son, Christopher Lee Crebbin of Placerville; and three grandchildren, Ryan James Bohlender, Lyndsey Marie Bohlender and Hunter Leon Baltierra. Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 2, 2003 at Lodi Funeral Home, 725 S. Fairmont Avenue in Lodi. Pastor Michael Abdollazadeh of Lodi Avenue Baptist Church, officiating. Committal will be private. Visitation will be on Saturday, August 2, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
