Lillian C. Beath, 85, of Chico, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2003 at a Chico skilled nursing care facility. She was born on March 16, 1918 in Freeman, Missouri, the daughter of Francis John Bennett and Lucie Loma Duncan Bennett. Lillian came to San Joaquin County at an early age, where she met Frank Stanley Beath in Stockton and they were married in 1938. In 1965, they moved to Pismo Beach, where they lived until 1974, when they moved to Douglas City. Years after that, they moved back to Lodi. She was a homemaker for most of her life and a long-time member of Lodi First Baptist Church and the Order of the Easter Star in San Luis Obispo. She enjoyed bowling, golfing and was a avid Dodgers fan. Mrs. Beath is survived by her son, Charles Beath of Willows, CA; 2 grandchildren, Desrty Beath and Heather Alveraz; and 2 great-grandchildren, Devin and Kaden Alveraz. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Stanley Beath (1985); her son, Thomas Beath (2000); sisters, Ethel Bennett, Lucy Shirk, and F. Mildred Elway; and brothers, Eugene, Dovey, Ted, Harry, Howard, Boyd, Robert abd Troy Bennett. Friends are invited to attend a graveside committal service at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 24, 2003 at Cherokee Memorial Park, Highway 99 at Harney Lane in Lodi. Pastor Steve Newman of First Baptist Church of Lodi, officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to charity of the donor's choice. A virtual register book can be signed at www.lodifuneralhome.com. Lodi Funeral Home estrusted with the funeral arrangements.
