Obituary of Joice Lucy Mettler

Joice Lucy Mettler, a longtime resident of Lodi, passed away on April 7, 2015, at the age of 89. Mrs. Mettler was born in Cobham, England on September 11, 1925. She was the owner of Lodi Avenue Flowers. She also was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and a Docent at Micke Grove Zoo. Mrs. Mettler was passionate about her family and her flowers. She is survived by her husband, Charles Mettler; son and daughter-in law, Brian Mettler and Jackie Dent; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and George Scott; granddaughter and husband, Brianna and Scott Nelson; grandson, Colin Mettler, great-grandsons, Aiden and Caleb Nelson; and brother and sister-in law, Brian and Ann Hulse. She was preceded in death by her parents, Adrian and Mary Hulse; sister, Joan Hulse; and son-in-law, Rodney Mastel. A Memorial Service, celebrating the life of Joice, will be held on Friday, April 10, at 11:00 a.m., at Zion Lutheran Church, 105 S. Ham Lane, Lodi, CA 95242. There is no visitation, and committal will be private
