Obituary of Frank Castellanos

Frank Castellanos, also know as "Papa", 85, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. Frank was born in Stockton, California to Antonio Castellanos and Maria Garcia on January 3, 1930. Frank lived in Woodbridge and Lodi attending Lodi schools. In his younger years, Frank was employed by Bare Ranch in Woodbridge and was a supervisor on the ranch. Later he was employed by Pinkerton Foundry in Lodi for 30 years, working his way from journeyman to supervisor. Upon retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his family, barbequing, traveling, and working in his yard. Frank was a past member of the Mexican-American Catholic Federation where he always enjoyed working fundraisers and dances. He was also a loving supportive man who was well-respected and loved by all who met him and knew him. Frank is survived by the love of his life, Lupe, and they celebrated their 67th Wedding Anniversary on August 15th. Frank first met Lupe at the age of 10 and knew that she was the girl for him. He is survived by his three daughters, Marlene (Luis) Olivares, Alice Castellanos, and Diane (Ramon) Marroquin, all of Lodi; his four granddaughters, Michelle Olivares (LaMont) Noble, Garden Grove, Christine Olivares, Lodi, Laurie Marroquin, Turlock, and Lisa (Paul Montana) Marroquin, Rhode Island. Frank was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Amada Nieves, Lupe Rodriquez, and Delfina Rodriquez; and brother, Simon Perez, Sr. He has one surviving brother, Jesse Castellonas. A huge "Thank You" to Hospice of San Joaquin for assisting with the care of our father, A special thank you to Kim of Hospice Home Health Care for showing such warmth and compassion each time that you came to our home, and to Bill, RN, who was also terrific. Family and friends are invited to visit Friday, September 4, at Lodi Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and also Saturday, September 5, from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, September 8, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church with a committal to follow at Cherokee Memorial Park Memorial.
