Obituary of James Milton Cavender

James Milton Cavender Jr., 50, of Stockton passed away August 24, 2013 in Stockton. He was born September 13, 1962 in Stockton. James was the cherished son of Shirley Lenard of Stockton and the late James Cavender Sr, the beloved husband of Jamie Cavender of Stockton, the loving father of James Cavender (& Nancy) of Stockton, Jaymie Lisk (& Clayton) of San Diego, Erin Williams of Stockton, Cheyenne Cavender of Stockton and the late Timothy Cavender, the dear brother of Sharon Batterton of Stockton, Eddie Cavender of Stockton, Duane Cavender of Oklahoma, Dean Lenard of Stockton, Ralph Lenard of Stockon, Dawn Cavender of Stockton, Larry Lenard of Stockton, Sheila Lenard of Stockton, and the late Carl Cavender, and the devoted grandfather of Dustin Lisk and Aidan Cavender. Mr. Cavender was a graduate of Shasta High School, Redding. He was assistant manager at Cardinal Agriculture and previously a diesel mechanic at Advance Trailer. He was the past president of Straight Up San Joaquin Valley Motorcycle Fellowship and member of Alano Club and of H& I. It was said that he was "the best father I ever met in my life." Friends are invited to attend funeral services 1:00pm, Wednesday, September 4, 2013, at First Baptist Church, 3535 N. El Dorado St., Stockton. Visitation: at the funeral home Tuesday, 2:00 - 7:00pm and Wednesday. Committal: private.
