I was very sorry to read of Bob's passing. I am also sorry that I did not maintain contact with him after he and Marilyn moved to California. I kept working for another 10 years after our Durkee days. At Durkee, Bob was a real stalwart in the intricacies of international purchasing. He helped me and the company out of many complicated messes. Bob was a credit to his profession. Lou Burdick

I'm deeply sadened to hear of the loss of your father. I was the exercise specialist who worked with Bob for the last 4 years in hopes of offering him some relief to his frustrations and pain, and in hopes he could gain some of his self sufficiency back in his every day life. Although his life challenges did not allow this to happen, he now walks with the lord with no pain, nor difficulty. I always enjoyed his upbeat attitude and the stories of his family and his life experiences. The staff and members at the West Fitness Center will miss him. God bless.

Dear Cousins, I've been thinking about your dad a lot this last week, missing him now and knowing how we will all miss him whenever the family gathers. Today I found the words to the song that was played at Mom's memorial service. I hope it gives you the same comfort that it gave me. Sharing your loss, With Love, Nancy "If You Could See Me Now" My prayers have all been answered, I've finally arrived. The healing that had been delayed Has now been realized. No one's in a hurry There's no schedule to keep. We're all enjoying Jesus Just sitting at His feet. If you could see me now, I'm walking streets of gold. If you could see me now, I'm standing tall and whole. If you could see me now, You'd know I've seen His face. If you could see me now, You know the pain's erased. You wouldn't want me to ever leave this perfect place, If you could see me now.

I met Bob a year ago at the gym. He was such a motivating person and a pleasure to talk to. You could set your clock to the time of his morning trip or know your late if you saw his van sitting in the usual parking spot. I know he will be missed by all. It is hard not to visualize him ready for exercise with his special hat, slippers and walker. He was a special person and he is in my thoughts and prayers.

Bob will certainly be missed. When we visited him we had a wonderful time together. He was very knowledgeable about all subjects and so very pleasant. We enjoyed the e-mails that he sent out to us, Bobken, showed up on the screen andwe knew it was something good!! To the family, you had a great dad and grandfather. He is a much better place at this very moment. May you feel God's comfort.

This man taught me a lot about mechanics and he dealt with a hard woman for a few years. He really helpped a little girl that need life lessons. I have looked for him and have a space in my heart allways for him.
